How to reprogram your same 15-digit hex ID from your old ELT to

the new Ameri-King ELT

Step 1:

Determine whether your 15-digit hex represents Long Message or Short Message Protocol. To

do so, enter your 15-digit hex into the 406 MHz Decode Program (included in our Programming

Software Package)

If bit 26 reads 1, your 15-digit hex represents Short Message (see below):
